1. What is the Liftkar Mobility Powered Stairclimber?
A. The Liftkar PT is an easy way to lift people or wheelchairs up stairs or steps using it's own powered lifting system.
2. Who can use it?
A. After a training session most people can easily operate the stairclimber as the lifting is all done by the internal powerful motor.
3. Where can the stairclimber be used?
A. The stairclimber can be used on almost all types of steps and stairs whether straight, winding, internal, external.
4. How is the stairclimber powered?
A. The stairclimber comes complete with its own battery powered pack, therefore no messy cables or sockets to worry about!
5. Will the Universal Stairclimber take my Wheelchair?
A. The Universal Stairclimber will carry virtually any make and model of self-propelled wheelchair or transport wheelchair. It will not usually allow for powered wheelchairs as they normally have their motor where the lifting unit of the PT Stairclimber needs to be attached.
6. What is the difference between the PT_Outdoor and the PT_S?
A. There are two differences between the PT_Outdoor and the PT_S: (1) the wheels on the PT_Outdoor are larger and (2) the weight lifting on the PT_S is slightly more. Please see the "Outdoor" page for more information.
